My decendents, on me mums side, were here prior to the American Revolution from Ireland.....probably indentured servants or worse....don't know for sure. They landed in South Carolina and bounced back and forth between North and South Carolina for almost 100 years before heading west to Tennessee and then to Kentucky.

Yup, for real. And some 24 ancestral relatives with same surname as mine fought in the Revolutionary War. One was with a detachment of Marblehead seamen from Glover’s Regiment who helped get Washington and troops across the Delaware for the Christmas Day attack on the Prussian troops at Trenton.
