That would be “rode” out the storm.....

FNC has been wall-to-wall Sandy coverage. Not at all trying to sound callous here, but if this was in FL or MS, you wouldn’t be seeing that, IMHO. It’s because this storm hit YankeeLand, their own backyard, that it garners so much air time on FNC. I find that disappointing. People in the south (I’m in NC) put up with this all the time.

I guess what they say about NY journalists truly believing that they are the center of the universe is true.

Many good story’s happen in flyover country, but since they don’t happen in New York, Chicago, or L.A, no one ever hears about them.

Yes, rode out the storm. Getting tired!

Trust me I know what you mean about NYC thinking it’s the center of the universe. Even those here in upstate NY know that. Where my brother lives they had a record setting snow storm last year, they were basically on their own. No mention from any national news, especially out of NYC, people were stranded, food was needed, people’s power was off with the temperature hovering around 10-15 degrees. People were injured— they took care of their own.

The floods in Tennessee a few years back didn’t get this kind of coverage, either...same for that horrible ice storm in Kentucky.

In western Washington we get a pretty nasty storm every couple or few years. Last winters ice storm was so bad, it cost my golf club 50k to clean up the debris.. Took 6 weeks but now you would never notice.

Storms happen. This storm in the east only appears to be a surge issue for the most part. Well, you better expect that if you are on the ocean? Or is that too callous?
