North Central WV, 1500’...35 degrees...91% humidity...Barometer droped from 29.78” to 29.48” in last 12 hrs....wind calm. About an inch of heavy, wet snow on everything. Was hoping for at least a bit of wind to shake it off wires and limbs. Preparing for heavy rains and wind tomorrow. Creek in back yard is up some, but nowheres near a problem yet.
Have to set a battery alarm clock for every hour to make sure the power is on. If it goes out, I need to start the generator for my sump pumps and for the blower for my wood burner.
Gonna be a long night, but others have it worse.

I was surprised at the wind coming on so with nightfall today. Prior to that, it had been a misty, slightly breezy nonevent in this area.
We’ve had a fatality locally due to a tree falling across a roadway this evening.
