Earlier in the day, models were predicting 30” for higher elevations in the Smokies, which was a surprise. i do not know if these models held.
Canaan Valley in West Virginia reportedly already has over a foot.
Thomas which is about 10 miles from Canaan had 14” as of a couple of hours ago. The roads are very icy, lots of accidents. 219 is open for 4x4 traffic only.
