IMHO, it’s not the divulging of secrets - it’s the influence of these organizations such that they are _deciding_ policy and law.

I’ll see your crisis group and raise you these:

The all have in common: Thomas Pickering.

He served for many years, including under Reagan, and is a well-respected diplomat.

Not that Pickering is a leftist himself, but just as an examle of how the boards and management structures of non-governmental and quasi-governmental organizations, of which there are thousands, overlap all over the place, giving members all sorts of opportunity for foolish or nefarious influence.

They have members from the political left, center and right to varying degrees depending on the organizational bent. Most tend to be focused on transnational commercial interests and leftist or idealist elitist philosophies. Of course, Soros is the grandaddy of the leftist moneybags and has his fingers all over, but certainly there are many others with purposes similar to his.

So all these folks are cooking up policy, influence, etc. and pressuring governments and actively causing governmental changes of all kinds all over the world.

They are unelected - and mostly unknown - by the nations they are affecting, and yet their influence is monumental relative to the citizens of those nations, effectively wiping out the voice of voters while subjecting them to these foreign influences that are rarely if ever aligned with the best interests of local citizens.

Their PR of course always sounds wonderful at face value until you get into the details of what they’re pursuing and it’s long-run effects.

Interesting stuff.

Hadn’t read Ron Brown’s name for some time now.

Thank you for the ping and the research.

BTW - You better batten down the hatches - “Sandy” is on the way.
