Beginning at about the 3:22 mark, watch Romney walk through a restaurant blissfully ignoring reporter questions, and Chris Matthews and guests grudgingly admiring his Regan-like, Teflon skill.

The old Chris had pride and reason. This one is in trouble, mentally and spiritually, simply out of control. I honestly feel a little sorry for him believing he is deranged. He also has bad diabetes the last few years.

But, yes, he is now wicked. Noticed he avoided the eyes of the Archbishop at the Al Smith Dinner.

I tried to watch...
I couldn’t finish the whole segment.
Gosh, Chris Matthews is one of the most hateful, creepy people on T.V.
And sheeple take him seriously.

No doubt - he used to be semi-rational. He has sold his soul and it ain’t pretty.

I totally agree with you. Actual expensive polling is done through sit-down interviews and so many questions are asked thaat the person being polled doesn’t know if they are interested in what tooth paste they use or what car they drive...let alone how they are gonna vote. We just get the phona-call garbage kind of polls where the pollster feels obligated to give who’s ever payingthem the answer they want to hear....sort of like global warming research.

In any case, the real polling must look real bleak to Obama. He just looks nervous and Romney looks like a football team with a four point lead, 1.5 mins on the clock, and holding the ball. I’m not sure how this ends but, the body language from all camps sure says it’s gonna be Romney. We’ll see....

” (D rat) is articulate, quick on his feet, good on policy talk, while (GOPer) is stiff, gaffe-prone, and not a deep thinker.”

Same tired meme they’ve been dragging out since Stevenson v. Eisenhower.

“The campaigns are spending huge money, on polls.

THey are very, very scientific, and are done by real pros.

They in fact KNOW what is going on, in each state, nationally, yada yada.

Everything else, what gets tossed to us on the floor, is bs. Now, if you’re smart, you can see it is bs...”

This!

No credible presidential operation depends on McPolls that are feed to media outlets. They need hard data and 110% accurate info.

Want to know what the real situation is? Look at the candidates behavior. Look at where money/staff is going and where ads are running.

We have had so many strange elections, and bad ones, that conservatives are blind to our winning by a strong margin. I suppose the last time that happened was in 88, or was it 84?

The scene of him being surrounded by reporters, asking him to go out on a limb and either condemn a Republican running for a Senate seat or show his support for him, thus unleashing a media avalanche of “Romney agrees with abortion extremist Mourdock” is the kind of thing that was commonplace during the Bush years, and completely absent during the Obama years.

Do these idiots think that the American people aren’t aware of this double standard? Do they have no clue that this is one of the reasons Independent voters are so scared to give Obama another four years, knowing that the media will act as his palace guards again, always whistling a happy tune while the masses suffer?

“Sold his soul”.....isn’t that the truth! It has become epidemic and basically and fundamentally what the Enemy intended for our country. I thank God but for the Grace of Him, there go I.

It is eerie when you consider how insidiously he has penetrated every single institution of our nation, stealing the young right out of our arms. This will never be changed or rolled back short of a miracle or blood. We simply slept too long and it has 60 years on us.

I despise Brinkley. He always looks like he just imbibed a really strong, nasty tasting laxative that didn’t work.

“Obama is articulate, quick on his feet, good on policy talk, while Romney is stiff, gaffe-prone, and not a deep thinker."

Thats why the one candidate advanced in private life to become a celebrated community organizer while the other could only manage captain of industry trusted to invest tens of millions of shareholder dollars and create thousands of private sector jobs.

80% of folks place the economy/jobs as number one on the list. Obama owns a big failure in what we got, and only a partisan left wing hack is going to vote for his sorry but.

The GOP fielded a person that conveys a strong understanding and vision on turning this bad economy around, and that is what all the polling is revealing.

That is why Romney didn’t bother trying to sidetrack the viewer in the third debate. He’ll worry about foreign policy once he takes over, AND he knows it is a big issue he’ll need to deal with once he takes power.

Obama realize far too late, that he needed some clear and articulate vision on his second term, with the added need to full people a SECOND time. By the time he figured this out, people had already made up their minds, that they would vote for Romney....

I was a child, but I remember it. My parents were Stevenson fanatics. The left has been doing “the opposition is retarded” number for decades now.

"Stevenson"

Before Obama came along, Adlai was the shining star, the great dream of academic fools everywhere. Just like Obama he would have been a disaster, but probably not quite the leftist radical. A candidate like Obama, even if he were all white, would never stand a chance of getting nominated. At least after the Henry Wallace contingent was rejected by mainstream Dems in 1948. Now that the mainstream Dem faithful has tilted heavily to the left, Wallace would look pretty good to them. Wallace and Obama are ideologically joined at the hip.
