Romney does not have to, and should not, bring up the Obama/Benghazi fiasco and coverup on his campaign stops for three good reasons:
1. This story is getting bigger by the hour. It's all over the internet and the twitter universe, and the MSM will not be able to contain it.
2. It's obvious that there are anonymous insiders in the State Dept. and/or the Intelligence Community who are leaking information as to what really happened to friendly media types (for our side) and Drudge will keep this issue front and center.
3. Mitt needs to play it straight and cool and continue to convince the people that he is competent and presidential. For now, he needs to stay above the fray. The polls are falling into place and he does not want to say anything that the libs can turn against him. He does not want to give the appearance that he is politicizing this event.
My opinion.
Reason #4: By Mitt remaining silent, the MSM cannot shift the narrative to an attack on Romney. Recall, when Romney initially — and correctly — criticized Obama for apologizing for the “video,” Romney was attacked for “jumping the gun” and the media ran stories how Romney’s “gaffe” could be the final blow to an already fragile campaign. Then we had the Candy Crowley setup, along with the allegations that Romney was “politicizing” the Benghazi “tragedy.” No need for Mitt to personally fuel the flames. He is staying on message and remaining upbeat.
What a weasel.
Thanks for the video.
Zero was probably involved with running weapons from Libya to Syria muslim brotherhood rebels. It has been reported that the operation’s cover was blown and that Russia and Iran (allies of Syria’s Assad) knew of it. The speculation is that Iran dispatched hit squads and Zer0 was afraid of problems with Russia if he fought back.
Michelle Bachman and others questioned Hillary’s aid, Huma, and her and her families ties with the muslim brotherhood and muslim sisterhood. They should follow up with how this fits in with all the zer0 support of arab spring and the revolutions the left so loves.
Nice summary. As you say, there are any number of reasons for Romney to let others take the lead.
Romney’s first and foremost priority is to get elected and get this evil infestation out of the White House. Focusing on Benghazi could distract from his campaign, rather than furthering it.
As others say, if he addresses the issue of Benghazi in any substantive way, he will be accused of breaching security.
There are others who are in a position to push the Benghazi investigation now. Obama is starting to twist in the wind. Let that continue to grow.
He really threw Obama for a loop when he didn’t take the bait on Benghazi in the third debate. It was great. Let Obama continue to guess.
Wrong!
I was listening to shortwave radio out of the liberal state of Maine tonight (WBCQ) and They knew about it!
They were livid!
This story is exploding in Oboes face.
It doesn’t matter.
Dumbed downed America cannot be reached.
Even if they are watching it, they do not see it and they do not hear it.
I have seen this happen right before my eyes just a couple of days ago, and it was infuriating.
Only people that want to know will know about this. Th eothers are the enemy of America, and that is all there is to it.
The best thing to do for Romney is to keep talking economy while the media talks Libya. Win from two fronts - CHECK...MATE.
There's a whiff of Clinton in the air...
...and Drudge will keep this issue front and center
LOL!
I wouldn't count on Drudge. For Drudge, the weather trumps everything.
The days of sitting on our rear ends complaining about the MSN not doing its job ended around 1998.
It is OUR job to get this story known, through email, Facebook, Twitter, word of mouth, etc.
We have the tools and technology. Do it.
“Proxies should be attacking like mad dogs (and Englishmen)! I hear crickets.”
Watch on Sunday. That will be the next to last Sunday before the election.
And of course over 90% already have their minds made up, so be realistic about who and how many need to hear, change their minds, etc.
I hope it impacts 2 to 5 percent. That is realistic, and probably enough too.
I wouldn't worry about it. The Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms will be dead soon, or at least marginalized to the point of irrelevancy. Maybe not soon enough, but soon. It is inevitable.
“Dumbed downed America cannot be reached.
Even if they are watching it, they do not see it and they do not hear it.”
You are one of those defeatists and fatalists Rush was talking about.
You’re right give up, throw in the towel, suck your thumb and curl up into a little ball.
Thanks Signalman.
Oh, ok. Let me tell you a little story, champ.
Went to the doctor’s office on Wednesday.
Was in the waiting room with four other people. My doctor is a conservative and he plays Fox News in his waiting room.
Megan Kelly was on reporting the recently leaked e-mails showing that he white house new in real time what was going on.
A young lady from this group of four said to an older lady in this group mom, do you hear what they are saying.
The older lady responded I ain’t even listening to them, I’m just reading the ticker.
Even when it’s right in front of their faces, they do not see, and they do not hear.
Now take your condesceding, snide, stupid little post and stuff where you know it belongs.
I get it. One old lady in a doctor’s office led you to the conclusion “Dumbed downed America cannot be reached.”
I see your point. Let’s give up and go home. It’s over.
Hopefully, when Barry and the ‘RATS suggest Romney “suspend” his campaign and come to Washington to discuss this “crisis”, Romney tells Barry to take a hike. Don’t take the bait.
I am not giving up or going home.
I am telling you a reality about those who will not see because they don’t want to see.
But you are certainly free to keep on being a jerk if you want.
Just caught ‘Inside Edition’ on NBC.
(I had tapped it)
They carried the interview of the seal’s father (including the father saying they killed his son) and the gross remark Biden made about balls.
This surprised me. Maybe they reached some of the dummies.
taped
OK, you’re right, I was a jerk.
But take heart, we are winning this! Don’t give up. People ARE being persuaded.
Look at the numbers. :-)
