I was at the station for a meeting when they repeated a request for coverage of a cross country race. My fav Dem driver volunteered, so I volunteered to go with him. His wife freaked. He said he ain’t going anywhere with a damn Republican! I told him to find his own medic, then. DH told us he had already texted the captain that the two of us were covering. His wife said voting is a private event and in the privacy of the voting booth it’s only her. Then she winked at me. She was a prominent Dem in the county for years. I took it to mean she was voting Romney, too. My Dem driver already said he would vote Romney. I think his wife wanted it kept quiet. LOL, yeah, her husband screamed it at us at the station.
When I got home another Dem from that meeting sent me an Obama website “debunking Romney and Ryans lies”. I cannot wait for this election to be over. I made DH promise me he would not engage this guy through email. He’s a hopeless case. His wife is a retired teacher and Republican. When politics comes up she will signal behind his back not to engage. Good advice where he is concerned. I always abide by it.
