Actually, I brew 4 cups, but only drink one myself. Rest of the family also has a cup each.
My drip pot is clean and our water is pristine - filtered lake water in a rural area.
I’m going to start trying a new brand. Some of those recommended here.
I also may try a Cremex or just use the French press all the time. Maybe it’s the drip method that’s just not cutting it for me.
Careful. Some major brands, such as Maxwell House, are now blending in Robusta beans to their coffees. Robusta coffee tastes weak, with poor flavor and some people report headaches, nausea and dizziness. I just got headaches from a new batch of Maxwell House Dark Roast. To the credit of Kraft Foods/Maxwell House they refunded the cost of my bulk purchase made after they changed from “100% Arabica” to “100% coffee” in their Dark Roast coffee.
If it’s not “100% Arabica” stay away, it’s a blend. What’s worse is that Vietnam is now a major exporter of Robusta beans. And where do the Vietnamese grow the Robusta bean? In areas which are defoliated, in some cases from herbicides sprayed by the US during the war.
Arabica Fair Trade coffees usually indicate great quality coffee which is grown with less chemicals than industrial growing operations.100% coffee.
