Well in honor of finding of a Earth size planet in Alpha Centauri (well I still think there is an Earth like planet there.. Prove me wrong). I thought I show you all a list in how Alpha Centauri has been used in Science Fiction:

The star name (I guess it is a star) which seems to come up more than any other in science fiction is “Rigel”.
I would guess that Mars is the favorite home planet of more sci-fi movies than all others combined. I will never forget seeing “Invaders From Mars” around 1953 or so. I was only six and it had a tremendous impact on me. For maybe 50 years I had images in my head of that movie. I finally saw it again a few years ago and discovered those images were not quite right.
What star system was “Forbidden Planet” supposed to be from?

I'm trying to stick with Fringe and give it the benefit of the doubt but this new treasure hunt of trying to search out VHS tapes that Walter has supposedly scattered around the countryside that will presumably save the world is way over the top.
All he had to do was keep them all together and put them in a hard to find spot and the Fringe team would eventually find them.
As for last week's episode with the people suffering from the fungus amoungus, they know what's causing it so why are they still living there?????/ Idiots!
As a side note, as for Olivia, she's the most attractive but asexual heroine in TV today....Astrid has more sexuality going for her than Olive does........

“War of the Worlds”, “Forbidden Planet” and “Invaders From Mars” are probably the 3 all time great sci-fi movies from the golden age of flying saucer movies.
There is one I cannot recall the name of but it too stuck in my memory. It involved aliens from a flying saucer who looked pretty much like your standard aliens of the era.
They killed people by injecting pure alcohol into them. I remember one of their hands was severed and it still was able to function”. I recall there was a lovers lane where the kids all fed beer to a bull. He got so used to alcohol that the aliens steel plungers of alcohol had no effect on him.
The teenagers as was typical in those movies, saved the day. They found out that light destroyed them and turned their car lights on them.

Antares: Thanks, I remember that now. Also remember Alterra the gorgeous daughter of the mad scientist. They all seemed to have beautiful daughters.

Me too but I can't really explain why. The best I can come up with is "cheesy".....I'm still watching it tho because I'm hoping for a single season closer.
Specifically, I want it to be treated as a mini-series with a final episode that puts an end to the series completely.

No Revolution, this monday, just a presidential debate.
Maybe that's a prequel to Revolution.

Hot chick’s name was Altaira
