Forensic artists think this is what Kennewick Man looked like.

Very Italian features
Rosa DeLauro
I’d run to if I was number 13 in the food chain!
This article reminds me of Bill Clinton lusting after a mummy of a teenage girl.
Whoops! Doesn’t look very Indian to me. No wonder the Indians wanted him. They wanted to cremate him and have him gone forever. He’s an inconvenient truth for the Indians.
Leave it to NPR to label K man as “ASIAN” in features. The DNA said European. In addition, his reconstruction (face) looks more like northern seafarer types.
Why does it matter?
For years, there has been *silence* about this guys’s DNA results. WHY?
Because at 9,000 years, the “story” of native americans being, well, the natives is in jeopardy. So (if you believe in the native story) who IS the native? What does it really mean to be a native at all? Mayeb the “native” americans decimated the preceeding people, as well (I would guess that, as that’s the normal state of affairs in tribal communities).
There are ALL sorts of problems with the FACTs that K man brings to us.
Currently, the “out of africa” theory is about to be discarded (teetering on the edge).
I think he should have red hair, same as the Spirit Cave Man. They look very much alike.

The facial hair “reconstruction” is hilarious.
The facial reconstruction accuracy is debatable, but they have exactly zero evidence whether he had facial hair or what it looked like.
Another nail in the coffin of the ludicrous notion of the "peaceful matriarchal hunter-gatherers."
Jean Auel will be very upset.
The Kenniwick looked like Picard.
The Spirit Cave man looked like Kirk.
Thus began the eternal argument!
Kirk better then Picard?
Picard better then Kirk?
Article says he lived on the coast because evidence shows he ate marine mammals like seals.
We have salmon eating seals in that area of the Columbia River.
The Dude Abides.
Obviously Asian, and strangely, some people are really bothered by that. Get over it. American Indians do—well, at least those who aren’t steeped in the political correctness of our western states. Oh...and many oriental Asians freak on the fact, too. ...can’t accept that we part-barbarians might have come from their oh-so-civilized neighborhood.
So Kennewick Man was Jerry Garcia?
I saw this guy at Sturgis.
Anthro-ping...
Reminds me of that unique Japanese aboriginal group - Okinawa? They look different from the other Japanese in facial hair and nose type. I was watching a youtube video on Okinawans and saw them moving through tidal waters to cast nets for fishing. Their stride was short and they had considerable resistance from the tide. Could that account for the leg muscles?
