I still say he ia afraid of annoying his own state’s Dim majority too much, and campaigning out of state for others is self-serving (and gets almost zero press and zero local press) and meant to just wrack up political debts he can cash in for himself when he gets tired of little ole New Jersey.

I would be highly surprised if he didn't get a position in the Romney administration. He is working in swing states where he can do the most good for the cause.

He may want to be Attorney General, or have a cabinate level post in the Administration as a stepping stone to the POTUS run he is expected to make in 2020 with Ryan, Rubio and a slew of other Republican up and comers.
