I've been a very happy Metro PCS suscriber for several years..currently have a 3G phone...service is great.

I was considering upgrading to a 4G phone..they've been on sale for a month or so..but the just announced merger with T-Mobile gives me pause. Will I end up having to buy a new phone again next year....any thoughts?

I was just looking at metro PCS. I’m stuck in a contract for now. I’ve never had a problem with my existing company saying I had to upgrade. Then again, a cell only lasts a few years before you drop it one too many times.

I’d think that no company would want to tick off it’s customers by doing switching systems so it’s customers phones didn’t work....they’d just take their phone and find another cell company. But that sort of “the customer is always to be screwed” business model seems to work for the banks, so who knows?
