Interesting article. I always knew Rodriquez to be a big Dem until he got smacked by reality in 2009. Apparently he had the same, “I’ll be damned, I’m a Republican” monent like the NM Governor.
Funny, I thought Gloria Estefan was a conservative Cuban-American. Turns out she’s a garden-variety lefty celeb too.

It's very well done. And Paul Rodriguez was in BHO's campaign video in 2008, the one where celebrities just repeated his name like a mantra.

yes—he got to feel firsthand the audacity of liberal policies... had his family not been effected by it, he would still be of the I Love Obama group... glad his experience has changed him... i am a Latina conservative, and i went through my change somewhere between 1989 and 1992...

Paul Rodriguez 2009 speech before the CA Republican Assembly during which he describes his conversion from dem to GOP over environmental issues. YouTube audio, about 30 min.

I’m bloody sick and tired of ‘’Latino’’ this and “Latino’’ that. Latin is a language, not a race but regardless. Haven’t we enough hyphenated groups? Why the Hell can’t we just be “Americans’’?
