In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

fulgurant \FUHL-gyer-uhnt\, adjective
Flashing like lightning.

Example sentences:
Now, as died the fulgurant rage that had supported her, and her normal strength being exhausted, a sudden weakness intervened, and she couldn't but allow Mike to lead her to a seat.
-- George Moore, Mike Fletcher: A Novel

He failed: the storm ran closer, fulgurant brilliance striding the sorry landscape like the stilted legs of some vast insect, the wind strengthening, carrying the odor of corruption, the thunder growling as if in anticipation.
-- Angus Wells, Wild Magic

Etymology:
Fulgurant is derived from the Latin word fulgurāre which meant "to flash like lightning."

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Since Obama is losing momentum
Fulgurant rants are in the brew-
So appropriate for Halloween-
From twitter to “The View”

Self-important “celebrities”
Type obscenities and get busted
Then wonder why they’re ignored
And many of us are disgusted

If they want to drink the koolaid
That’s no concern of yours or mine-
Let them keep the insanity private
The rest of us will do just fine

I heard some idiot actress’ apology for totally inappropriate comments online called “the Weiner defense”-that her account got hacked, or just got a mind of its own and went berserk...

That was Eva, the Spurs Tony Parker’s ex, who first RT, then deleted it, then claimed she was hacked, then said she posted it for discussion. Obviously, she has no acting gigs and a lot of time and bitterness on her hands. A+ for you, F- for Little Eva.

Thank you!

Obviously no brain, either-I’m endlessly amazed that there is anyone out there who does not realize anything you put up in the internet is out there forever, period-you can’t make it go away.

OMG, it’s just so perfect....the revenge of the Clintons.

Bill in a speech for Obama today: “It’s true, Obama has not fixed the economy.”

OMG, it gets better complete Bill quote:

'We're not fixed, so fire him and put me in.' It is true, we're not fixed. When President Obama looked into the eyes of that man who said in the debate, 'I had so much hope four years ago and I don't now,' I thought he was gonna cry. Because he knows that it's not fixed."

I wonder what hideous outfit MO will wear when O concedes on election night? It will be the last time we will be entertained like that.

Fredonia is a small town in NY on the western border. It is also a tiny village in WI just north of me. So tiny that when I tell someone around here that my grandson is studying music at “Fredonia” they look puzzled and say, “I didn’t know they have a University in Fredonia...”

Oh, we'll still get to see her at the inauguration and then her farewell outfit. I wonder how many trucks it will require to haul her clothes out of the WH?

It doesn't matter, I suppose. We are paying for it and also the freight to ship it all to Hawaii.
