Not true, we ate lunch out at a very nice place. Don’t think it will be a problem. They guidebook mentioned some sites being closed on Mondays but didn’t say anything about restaurants and that kind of info would need to be in there. Also had no problem with anything being closed in Rome.
I was in Rome in early 2001. I remember the many varieties of pizza they sold near the Coliseum. Interestingly, they put it on a scale and sold it by weight.
That’s good. It wasn’t like that when I was last there. Of course that was in 1998 and I was in a smaller town.
