Come Sunday, the St. Louis Cardinals will be out west to take on the San Francisco Giants in the National League Championship Series. It's an interesting match-up, pitting the last two world champions against each other.
On its face, this would seem to imply that both team are even. Not so fast, Fred Merkle Breath. The Cardinals clearly have the edge over their upcoming competitors. And if I may, allow me to explain with these seven reasons.

Speaking of baseball, Obama hasn’t thrown a ceremonial first pitch for a couple of years. He’s due. Perhaps he can win back his base with one of those arcing three-point throws from the pitcher’s mound.

You can always bluff in cards and sometimes even WIN, but
nobody believes there are giants in the world anymore.
Men still dream about being captured by oversexed, undersatisfied Amazons ... but they really don't believe in THEM, neither.

The fat lady sang in San Francisco (ok, Santa Clara but S.F. sounds better). She sang in the rain...
St. Louis kept leaving runners on base. No score. Skunked. Shut-out 4 Goose egg # 3 in a row.

THe Giants don’t play in Santa Clara. PacBell Park is in downtown SF. The 49ers will be playing in Santa Clara starting in 2014.

Ok. I was relying upon what I'd heard from some game commentator days ago now. I must have garbled it. Come to think of it, they did have a shot of a giant glove over that low wall. My mistake, and a big one (in a way).
So the fat lady sang in San Francisco, in the rain. thank you for the correction.
