It’s true. I just saw it during SNL about 30 minutes ago. I’m in Texas so I know its a national spot.

Can’t really blame them;
It’s the only ad Bath-House Barry’s “base” will understand.

When I first saw that ad, my reaction was that someone could get in big trouble for that spoof - as they included the President saying that he approved it.
The last thing that I thought was that it was legit. But whoever is running their advertising is one of the best friends we could ever dream of.

Big Bird is the biggest problem this nation is facing? Seriously?
Iif Sesame Street asked for advertisers they would be there.

This is how you know the Obama campaign is finished..the only way I can see Mitt Romney losing in November is if he comes out in the next two debates wearing his undies on his head and eats a live puppy..otherwise Obama is done..need anymore proof..watch that Big Bird Ad..good to know Obama is spending his money so wisely, kind of like how he is spending this nations money

Well, an outfit stupid enough to believe that anyone would swallow the idea that a spontaneous demonstration produces precision mortar fire and folks armed with RPG's who went straight for our intelligence documents probably has a pretty low opinion of their constituency's IQ.
On the other hand, a 15 second counter punch ad could be quite effective: "Millions of people remain out of work. Employment is at its lowest level in forty years. Since the Great Recession supposedly ended, another 5.6 million people are receiving food stamps. But President 0bama thinks the biggest issue facing the country today is the fate of a giant yellow puppet."

Not only did they run the ad in SNL, but on Weekend Update, Seth Meyers talked about the fact that Sesame Street told Obama not to air the ad anymore.

It was indeed on SNL. I had several people visiting tonight. We watched the ad 5 times and could not figure out what the point was. At first everyone thought it was an SNL parody.
Everyone agreed that it was the stupidest ad anyone had ever seen. Just plain dumb.
To: Perdogg
Oh. My. God. The Obama campaign is running the Big Bird ad on national television. They can't be this stupid. When only a Presidential "Face Palm" will suffice.

Just saw that...ridiculous ad... I hope they keep running it. I also saw the Morgan Freeman ad during the baseball game. Question though..why isn’t Romney running any national ads? I think I’ve seen one from a super pac but that’s it, but I haven’t seen a single “I’m Mitt Romney and I endorse this ad” yet. It’s weird considering I even remember McCain having a few national ads in 08 like that celebrity one.

The Big Bird puppeteer is a 1%. All of the cast are 1%.
Is this a change in the campaign, supporting one per-center’s?

Yep, we saw it too. I wonder how many people thought it was part of the show. They fooled me at the beginning with the fake Gillette ad that featured Jerry Sandusky.

Should run quick ads right behind them informing Americans about the vast amounts of money made commercially off from big bird and ilk. Ask America if we can afford to pay for a station that is making this much money, besides donations. Tell PBS that if they can't continue in the same way as they always have, without government funding, then they need to tighten their belt, just like many of the rest of us Americans have had to do. Fight stupidity with simple facts. Communicate!!!

I have learned to just assume that the first section advertisement is a fake. The laughing gives it away as well, but it does look so real...
