I don’t think it is a good idea for him to have hit her.

He may loose his job as a bus driver. That is unless his job is a union job then he may be able to fight for it.

Still really the best thing would have been to call the police and have her arrested. She could have been brought up on more than just hitting him, I am almost sure disturbing the peace could have been added in. Then the bus company can ban her from the bus forever and the driver won’t fear of loosing his job.

You’re probably right about that. It would seem that that the city will now be hit with a major lawsuit and the driver will most likely be fired. In a sane world, if someone assaults another person (she struck him and spat on him before he clocked her), that person would not have any standing to win a lawsuit. But, this is not a sane world anymore.

Clearly this woman has gotten away with this behavior before.Some people just never learn and need to be taught a lesson. I bet she will think twice before she does it again.
