LMAO! He forgot about how they didn’t know anyone asked for more security at the Libyan embassy...
Oh, man...they are freaky. My next door neighbor is feuding with the whole neighborhood. I noticed he spoke to my son tonight. First time in a couple of months. He got really strange for awhile. My son put up three crosses in the side yard facing his house. LOL He started the dog poop wars and the whole neighborhood freaked out. He walks two huge dobermans that he cannot control and lets them poop anywhere. We have a law forbidding it. He has to clean up, but refuses. You can imagine. One guy took the dog poop over to his house and smeared it on his car. OH, boy. Did that set him off. Never a dull moment.
One dog got loose this week and attacked a dog a woman was out walking past his house. Then he yelled at her blaming it all on her.
Early in the spring, two men came out to tell him off for the dog poop everywhere. They got into a shouting match. End result is one of the men takes his family inside when they see the jerk coming with his dogs. They are afraid of him. Good reason.
I got so sick of them being tied and barking next door all summer. Made my time in the pool miserable. The stupid dogs bark at the squirrels for hours every day. Drove me nuts.
That is a serious feud you’ve got there! There used to be dog poop wars in the neighborhood we lived in in the city-usually a couple of times a year, but nothing like what you are describing. The main offenders were a couple who had what my daughter called a gaggle of yappy Chihuahuas.
We both live across the street from the park...NO ONE will go there or even walk down the street. People I meet while out walking, when they find out where I live they ALL tell me they won’t go down our street anymore. They are too scared of the dogs. It’s lonely over here.
Danger, Will Robinson...
Actually, from what I could see, it looked like a really tall trash can with holes in each side, and he was cutting a coil of A/C flexduct into long pieces, like they were to put into the holes for arm and leg coverings.
I just came back from the woods-it is starting to rain-and saw the contraption, whatever it is sitting on the patio. He is mowing the lawn (again)-drizzle is falling, but he has got to get rid of the little bit of grass that has managed to grow since last weekend before it pours...
That is nothing short of ridiculous-what a jerk of a neighbor. Our big park is just 1/2 mile away, and a guy on the next road over used to let his really mean Rottweiler run loose-the dog would hang out at the park on the main hike/bike trail, chasing bikes and attacking any dogs being walked. The same thing you are talking about happened here-we started avoiding the park (that we pay a yearly use fee for).
Now, however, the dog is behind a tall, electrified fence. I assume the owner got fined till his eyes glazed, but either way, we can walk and bike safely in the park again after nearly a year.
Every once in a while you’ll see a dog get poisoned. It soundfs like this guy is asking for it.
Poison is verboten here, because of livestock-you can be jailed for that, but we have an alternative, totally organic method of eliminating bad dogs-the resident mountain lion. The Rottie was the only loose dog around since the kitty ate a few unfenced dogs from the gated neighborhood of weekend/summer people nearby-slow, soft city pets...
It’s not legal to poison animals here either, and I wouldn’t do such a thing. It’s not the dog’s fault.
But I could see someone having had enough resorting to that sort of thing.
So can I-out here, dogs have been shot by property owners for running livestock like goats and chickens too, and that is perfectly legal if provable. I still feel sorry for the dog, too-pets deserve an owner who cares for them by keeping them, and others safe.
I’m just glad the jerk here racked up enough fines to keep the dog in-I would have hated for it to become take-out for that mountain lion-there are way more than enough deer, wild pigs and various rodents for it to eat in this mostly-forested area.
A dog got poisoned down the street. We can’t prove who did it, but it shocked everyone. We had some new neighbors down there who hated the dog. We had never had an incident like that before or since. I am not afraid of the dogs, I find them to be pretty stupid though. I thought Dobermans were smart. I suspect he has them to protect his stash. Couldn’t prove that either, but I have my suspicions. He doesn’t seem to work much, but he has four vehicles and lives in his mother’s house. She has a second home in PA near Penn State, she taught there at one time.
Greetings from Alabama on this lovely autumn afternoon. Hope all is well with everyone. Been sitting in a model home since 11 am trying to sell some real estate. Thanks to the weather & SEC football, I have only had 3 visitors...and one of those was Conspiracy Guy aka Papaw on his way to visit a couple of our grandyounguns.
In a remote area like this one, you find things you would never expect, too-now and then, a meth lab is busted, way off the beaten track and no one knew it was there.
The last one was on one of the deer trail that is used for a hiking trail-I’ve walked by it countless times and never realized anyone ever came there-no tire tracks, no smoke from the chimney, dilapidated and overgrown, no signs of life. After the bust, the place went right back to its deserted state, and still is...
Well, hello, stranger! Glad to hear that all is well with you and CG and the munchkins-I hope more customers show up before quitting time...
Oh, that can be a lonely job if no one comes by. Hope that changes for you. Glad to hear all is well with you and CG. It’s pretty nippy up here, I can feel the cold winds getting started. Going to be a long cold winter.
We had a horrific accident here today. Two bicyclists were hit by a car. A girl was reported to have gone through the windshield into the front passenger. Two taken to the ER, one may not make it. Just heartbreaking to hear this. We were on another call at the time. I am so glad I missed that one.
Got a couple of really good prospects before “quittin’ time” so it was a good day. 5 munchkins is a good bunch!
