montag813, I agree with the other poster that I have never heard a Jewish person speak of love for their Christian cousins and it is very lovely. I dated seriously a Jewish man and wanted to marry him and would have converted even, but his family never accepted me. I babysat for a little Jewish child who informed me if I wasn’t Jewish his grandfather didn’t like me. I have loved Judaism for years, studied it extensively, made challah, had my children celebrate Hanukkah, the celebration of religious freedom and explained to countless people that Christianity is an extension of Judaism and you could not fully understand it unless you understood Judaism.
Now I fully get that it was a “Christian” society that allowed the Holocaust and that Jewish people may never forgive for that and I don’t blame them. I have also extensively studied the Holocaust, dug out old narratives from the library, read all I could get my hands on trying to wrap my mind around how that happened and all I could get to was pure unadulterated evil, satan wreaking havoc on God’s special people. Of course satan is the real enemy. And where was God? A spiritual mystery, although the forces of good finally broke through, it was bloody and ugly.
Anyway, we have a common enemy in Islam which is an evil ideology. Sometimes I feel like a cog in God’s wheel, as though passivity is all I can do and try to provide for and set an example for my children is all I can do and be a truthful person. It is an ugly world out there with one truth, God’s truth. And the search for that truth is ongoing among good people. Thank you for your sentiment and may Heaven move on your behalf.
Nonsense. I don't blame Christians for the Holocaust. I blame Socialism. Hitler was an athiest, and Jewish idol FDR refused to bomb the railroad tracks to Auschwitz, cost hundreds of thousands of additional lives. The USSR was an athiest state and still persecuted Jews. Jews have their best home in history in America, which is truly Christian. I revere the Christian faith, and love my Christian brothers and sisters. I have fought with them on pro-life, SSM and other social issues, and have participated in many rallies to keep Christmas trees and nativity scenes in public spaces. I despise JINOs (Jews-In-Name-Only) who bash Christians like the vile Mila Kunis and others.
