In certain industries where an employee is soon to be terminated and could do a lot of damage through spite, they change said employee’s various passwords, and update the security/access systems before said employee knows he’s canned, to prevent theft and sabotage. That said, they need to change the white house locks day after the election, and throw the obama’s filthy mattresses on the curb.

Recently, I was a spectator of such an event, at a non-profit. The incompetent "manager" of the office did considerable physical damage; made off with all the bookkeeping records, , changed all the computer passwords to obscenities, hid things she could not or dared not take, and failed to pay for utilities, which triggered a PG&E demand for additional security deposits, and failed to pay the rent for the facilities.

I had to literally beg to have all the locks changed, because "it was too expensive!"

Since there were no witnesses to the destruction, she was neither accused nor prosecuted.
She was tipped off the night before the hammer was falling...
Lots of suspects, but nothing proveable.
