I also get the feeling that this one is more popular overseas. Pretty boy/gal bands are strong in SK, although they are viewed as very lame in many foreign countries.

Well, the issue is that South Korean talent agencies stiff their artists like crazy. So much Korean talent has relocated to Japan because the artists got peanuts for working a endless schedule.
