“increased testosterone increases DHT, which causes male pattern baldness.”

______________

It is passed on by the mother, though, right? And also, women sometimes have the same pattern, it just isn’t as severe. My mom was thinner on top and still thick on the sides as the years went on. Did she really have extra testosterone? Eww!

For that matter, I”m almost 50 and I have to admit my hair is thinner on top than it used to be, although I doubt anybody but me has noticed. Eww! Eww! I don’t wanna be a dude!!

Commonly believed folk tale. All the actual evidence points to the Y chromosome. Men’s who father’s were bald as 2.5x more likely to be bald themselves.

My bad. Somehow I jumbled folk wisdom up with folk tale. The end result is still the same, but I have a reputation to uphold. lol.
