I use only extra-vergin olive oil for salads and soups, not recommended for frying. Coconut oil is very healthy, I buy mine from the Health Food stores. Wonderful as a spread on toast. It’s expensive but a jar lasts me a long time. Stay away from canola, from my readings it’s made probably with genetically modified corn.
I think what Rush referred to was that coconut oil was not used anymore for popcorn in theaters because the companies were looking for cheaper ways to pop the corn (I might be wrong on this).
