xsbaby worked at the Fairfax Co.kids festival at the Romney booth and said they had a great reaction from people. our neighbor actually showed up to the booth looking for a sign and to help out, and she told him that she's been trying to take one over to him, but they haven't been home. so that means three of us at the top of the culdesac with Romney signs. they also had some very cool HOKIES for Romney bumperstickers which she got to send to xsboy's friends down at VaTech. They are done in the schools colors so they are really eyecatching. They had George Mason U PATRIOTS for romney and WAHOOS [UVA] for Romney as well.
the girls and i are leaving for Italy in 10 days. xshub’s organization is having a conference there, he doesn’t want to go but is letting us go in his stead. There is a papal audience on tap too, that the partnering law firm has arranged. we are not sure of what gradation of audience it is, whether it’s just in the square or a more personal one, so we are preparing for the most stringent and have 3 chapel veils ready to go. i sent xshub a video of papal audience etiquette in the offchance it’s a small group deal, for him to share with his staff. The entire rest of the group will be non-Catholic, but i want them apprised of etiquette so they don’t embarrass me!
Also i had been using Rosetta Stone Italian, and suddenly a few weeks ago it just wouldn’t load. I spent numerous hours online with their tech people trying to troubleshoot it. Finally yesterday they did a remote access where they took over my computer and after 2 hours and a clean reinstall of the software it finally works again, though it lost all of my progress. i was SOOOOO glad they could do the remote access, i didn’t even know that was possible! the prior hours spent with me trying to interpret what they were asking was a total waste, so much more efficient for them to go in and do it. it literally it took so long that i had xsbaby and xsteen’s boyfriend sitting there for me for periods of time so i could make dinner etc. and they could relay the guy’s questions, comments to me. Of course i was dealing directly with Mumbai! names like rangath, mansoor, and ghouse, were the three diff techs i dealt with!
I just read a new Grisham book that was unlike most of his law centered books. Sorry I’ve lost the name - it was about baseball. A boy growing up with a dad in the majors and betrayal - really good.
