No, Linux was "invented" by Linus Torvalds, and is now developed by people with every political-sexual-religious affiliation under the sun.

For what it's worth, from the Torvalds Wikipedia page,

In 2010, Torvalds became a United States citizen and registered to vote in the United States; he is unaffiliated with any U.S. political party, saying, "I have way too much personal pride to want to be associated with any of them, quite frankly."[5]

Well to be specific, Linus Torvalds invented the Linux kernel. It was Stallman who had the original idea of a free operating system (based on UNIX) and already had the other tools in place that Torvalds made use of (compiler, text editor, debugger, etc.)
