*Everything* can eventually be “justified”.
They recently gunned down an 83 year old grandma.
It was justified because the officers [whom she called after a burglary] swear she was about to cap them.

I wonder how long before some homeowner shoots a cop accidently after hearing a gun shot in the backyard.
I believe that's what elections are about, mostly non-violent fights so that those things are reality, not illusion.
And, as this story shows, that still mostly non-violent fight is now on everyday, not just on election day.
If liberty doesn't win every time, human nature dictates that sooner or later, things most certainly will become violent. We barely know what we each are capable of...let's not find out.

These constant killings are pretty sad. Something is really wrong here.

It is rapidly making me feel the police are the enemy.
This is why the US government can’t be trusted with the death penalty. With so many crooked cops running around, who is willing to bet on a life on the fact that the cops got it right?
