"Singling them out" might mean more than cutting off all foreign (read: military) aid to them if you believe words are worth more than action. But this is the real world. You go ahead and continue to backpedal from your original pledge. It's okay.

That's liberal-think - if you don't want to spend taxpayer dollars on X you're not "pro-X."

It "means more" only in the sense that if a candidate proposed to single out Israel I'd find that highly suspect - whereas, as I said, as a citizen of this country and no other earthly regime, I'm willing to consider cutting ALL foreign aid. The motivations may not directly matter to Israel, but they matter to me.
