>>> I’ve often wondered about that. I mean, we know there will be lots of people accepting Jesus during the Tribulation, yet it it the Holy Spirit who convicts people of their sin. I’ve asked my pastor if it is possible for people to come to Jesus without the work of the Holy Spirit...
The presence of the Holy Spirit on earth today is what holds back Satan’s complete control of the earth. Satan is currently limited to what the Holy Spirit allows. When the Holy Spirit “leaves”, it should be thought of more in terms of “letting loose”.
The omnipresence of God in the universe is perpetual and boundless. If He is not present anywhere, it is only in Hell where He set that place apart for those who don’t want anything to do with Him.
We cannot begin to comprehend the physical or spiritual aspects of God’s being... But we often make the mistake of trying to by applying our own physical limitations to what God can or cannot do. Personally, I do believe that the Holy Spirit will physically leave. But I do not believe that means that He no longer sees or hears or is unable to intercede.
Those who hear God’s call in this age of Grace and reject Him will NOT have a second chance during the tribulation.
God says that those individuals will be given a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie, and accept the mark of the beast.
Others who can and will receive Christ in their hearts will have to “endure to the end” to be saved.
This means that they must not receive that mark... which can only be applied under consent.
(btw, there is an unspecified amount of time between rapture and tribulation.
It could be seconds, days, years, or even decades.)
Yes... God will still be working on the hearts and minds of those going through the tribulation... but He will NOT be restraining Satan any longer.
I thought the Temple had to be rebuilt. That means the Dome of the Rock has to go...
Separate statements. One Prophecy refers to the dimensions of the rebuilt temple and references to the outer court being the domain of the Gentiles prior to the completion of the Church. Elsewhere there are references to the man of sin, son of perdition sitting in the temple, and then the abomination that makes desolate.
There's something missing in this picture: Israel has be prosperous and at peace when the Russia-led coalition attacks! Read Eze 38:11-13. I think there will be a time after the destruction of Damascus when terrorism will be under control, and Israel will be exploiting the Leviathan gas fields. That will upset Russia because their main export is natural gas! THEN it will be the time for the attack.
Actually no...we just have the interent today where you see every little act of violence. 30 years ago most South American countries were violent, dictaors, mass killing field, today most are democratic and peaceful. Murders are down all over the world from 30-100% from earlier centuries. The world is becoming more peaceful..90 dictatorship countries in 1976 down to less than 20 today, less than 20 democratic countries in 1946 now there is more than 100.
The number of people killed in battle calculated per 100,000 population has dropped by 1,000-fold over the centuries as civilizations evolved.
Before there were organized countries, battles killed on average more than 500 out of every 100,000 people. In 19th century France, it was 70. In the 20th century with two world wars and a few genocides, it was 60. Now battlefield deaths are down to three-tenths of a person per 100,000;

Yes it is. Read Acts. I think it is somewhere around chapters 17-20. Paul meets several people who are preaching the word and have been baptised, but not baptised with the Holy Spirit. He calls them disciples, which indicates that they have indeed good motives rather than being con artists.
No. Never have and never will. I don’t listen to any prophecy folk, but I do read and observe a lot. A person would have to be blinded (and are) to not see it coming.
You rely on obviously irrational, nonsensical estimates of historical casualties, by probably many orders of magnitude.
In short, you are deeply deluded.
We are in our very most violent period of all time.
uuumm no. WWII and 1950's tens of millions killed via war and communism, WWI, our own Civil War. We had more soldiers killed in some WWII battles in 5-6 hours than all the troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan in 11+ years.
Read up on our own west of the late 1800's..it was not like "Little House on the Prairie"..incredibly violent times to live in.
I don’t pretend to know the bible inside and out...I do take the things written in it seriously...the mark of the beast (666) always interested me...I was talking to someone about it the other day, and they said it would come in the form of an inocculation...a form of a chip...masses of people would be required to get these innoculations....made me think of Obama-care....Most think of it as a tatoo on your forehead, but a chip, they could scan us I guess...nonetheless, I don’t plan on being here to find out..
No, the 19th century west was arduous, but rarely violent; you are deluded by Hollywood fantasy, like all of your leftist ilk.
Great answer. Thanks!
Irvin was raised to believe that Christ was going to return before the Tribulation, maybe even before the Antichrist’s time; but he changed his mind on that one after a long time. - Scripture plainly states that Christ’s return won’t happen until that “Man of Sin” is revealed.
Hmmmm ..?? You very well could be right. Actually, it would take some time for the Russians and the Chinese to gather all the other nations for the attack on Israel.
I didn’t mean to imply it would be a quick turnaround. It’s just that when the prophesy was given, there was no pause.
The word “Next” just means that it’s the next event .. with no timeline given between the “Next”.
Thanks for bringing this up .. it’s a good point.
The nation of Israel was/is to be a holy nation, separate from the profane (common). The mixing in with the Gentiles was the mixing of the holy with the profane. The gross idolatry of the northern tribes started up the blender.
Those who figure out the difference [between the holy and the profane] will separate out [from spiritual Babylon/mixing/confusion] and set their eyes toward home: Zion, which is the Holy Land for the holy people.
This election in particular is shaking the trees to see what fruits and nuts will drop off and rot.
Notice that the particular offenses of the first couple in the White Hut concern the abominable debasement of the office and the house. That is, they repeatedly choose to mix with common low-lifes, or degrade the dignity (separateness) or their position by slumming on the "entertainment" shows or wolfing down greasy fast food with all the class and refinement of hogs at the trough. Or how about Michelle telling the world that her husband's breath stinks or that she wishes she were Beyonce.
This is all purposed to magnify and teach the difference between the holy and the profane. A filthy Obamaville of Babylonish mixture, or a home that is clean on the inside and out.
America is in the valley of decision, and a wall of water is headed right through.
America, formed out of a gathering out of the nations.
Israel, formed out of a gathering out of the nations.
These two at the core of their beings just aren't like the other nations. Key targets of the rest of the world, though, to force them to mix with filth and become like the other nations.
