Another victim of the knockout game.
These animals live for the sucker punch. You MUST recognize this. If one advances on you, he IS going to hit you. And if he doesn’t kill you outright, his mission is to get you knocked down so he and his crew can kick hell out of you while you are on the ground. They WILL stomp you to death. Your life has no meaning to them. They kill each other who ate the last of the dark meat turkey, or the last Rally burger, or whether a cut of meat is a pork steak or pork chop. (All murders here in St. Louis).
Once they advance on you, you MUST be prepared to deal with them, one hand up in front of you to protect your brain, the other reaching for you CCW. If you don’t have a CCW, then you better run or otherwise exit quickly. If you strap on one of them, you strap on all of them, including strangers to the first assailant. Again, they WILL kill you, and there will be precious few witnesses who will cooperate with the police to get justice for you. Any cooperation will be in exchange for money or other judicial favors but definitely not because it was the right thing to or that they sympathize with your plight.
Remember, you cannot be expected to fist fight with more than one person and that is if you are the same gender, and roughly the same age, size and physical ability. Multiple assailants is cause for deadly force and these morons routinely provide the evidence your attorney could present in court on why you felt the need to use deadly force. They even film and narrate it for you.
Be aware of who has the great potential to victimize you, arm yourself and understand your limitations. Self-talk what you are going to do if and when the situation comes up. When it does, you will have already rehearsed your response.
Vigilantes will begin to do “Death Wish” armed “victim bait” walks. Stroll through the same areas looking vulnerable, but with the hand on a concealed pistol.
It's just a matter of time. NYC and Philly used to have extremely effective “stakeout squads” consisting of gung-ho police marksmen. They would stakeout shops that had been repeatedly robbed, and slay the armed robbers who arrived for “business as usual.”
The bleeding hearts had the units disbanded. Too effective. Not nice. “Stakeout squads” had to be banned.
But armed vigilantes will eventually do what the police will not do, if it is the only way to frighten these beasts into better behavior via the fear of sudden death.
