In addition the Democrats appeal to the emotions rather the intellect, and the great masses are more easily influenced by impulses of the heart than by judgements of understanding. Obama has that “touchy feely” thing down pat. He is a master demagogue. The late Hugh Kindsmill once wrote: “Most of the avoidable suffering in life springs from our attempts to escape the unavoidable suffering inherent in the fragmentary nature of our present existence [the young want consequence free behavior]. We expect immortal satisfactions from mortal conditions [satiety], and lasting and perfect happiness [utopianism - externalization of the kingdom of heaven] in the midst of universal change. To encourage this expectation, to persuade mankind that the ideal is realisable in this world after a few preliminary changes [Obama’s legistative agenda]in external conditions, is the distinguishing mark of all charlatans [demagogues], whether in thought or action.” Just so. This generation of youth is the most ignorant in history, immersed in a herd like mentality, mired in the moment, spewing the same mealy-mouthed cliches, wearing the same clothes (proletarian chic - Che Guevara T-shirts, celebrating a cold-blooded murderer), and meanly admiring mean things. Incapable of articulating a lucid thought or concept they seek identity through body art and uttering inane cliches. Ignorance abounds! And Obama will be the benifiary of that ignorance. Alas, there will be a day of reckoning. The prodical son must return home. The books will be balanced and it ain’t goin’ to be pretty.
