Controversial climatologist Michael Mann has won another round – this time beating back a demand for emails he wrote while working at the University of Virginia. The American Tradition Institute had filed a freedom-of-information request for them. Mann and the university balked.

Media biased much? Read this, it's only three paragraphs but the last one is just so telling. I know it's opinion but still is credited to the papers staff writers.

If you are a university professor for a state-run university....you are a state employee, and you enjoy no ownership of what you teach or write, period. States ought to all come down and emphasize who exactly writes the checks and ensures the university stays open.
