another story... the show we went to see was called
Gigantes3 Marc Anthony [JLos ex], chayanne, and Marco Antonio Solis[xshub said, i wonder if he's related to HILDA?? ROR!] It was great. Of course we were the only gringos in the joint. It was at the Mandalay Bay and basically looked like a slightly smaller verizon Center. PACKED, every seat taken. Gigantes=GIANTS, and those three are giants in the latin music biz. Boy do latinos put on a show. Started a half hour late, but Marc Anthony did a solid hour, as did Chayanee, and then after about 20 min of the Marco Antonio Solis guy it was 11 pm and we were dead [were up most mornings at 4am bc of the time diff]so we left before the finale which was the three of them singing together. The woman next to xshub was chatting him up, i LMAO. She asked him where are you from. Now maybe you would have answered the same way as xshub being a gringo, he said DC. She asked where I was from and he said, "We're married!" meaning she's from DC too. but if a latin asks you where you are from, they mean COUNTRY OF ORIGIN, not city you live in. So she was basically saying, ok, one of the two of you has to be hispanic if you are at this concert so which one of you is it?? LOL!various flags were being waved at the concert, mexico, venezuela etc. She was Venezuelan. she kept telling him various facts throughout, it was pretty funny. i let him deal with her! she actually lives in Salt Lake City, and traveled to LV for this concert, which was just HUGE for the latino population.
