"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

I'm not that old, but I do recall listening every night to "CBS Radio Mystery Theater." I've looked around a couple of times for recordings of those shows, but never found anything.
Anyone know anything about this show?

The Internet Archive website has a huge database of old time radio shows for play or download, searchable by title (just scroll down to the alphabet search links: http://archive.org/details/oldtimeradio

I specifically searched CBS Radio Mystery Theater, and they’re there, too: http://archive.org/details/otr_cbsradiomysterytheater

I noticed the lack of a playlist on the website, too, and am crossing my fingers that it’s just an oversight—seems like they would have posted a notice if there isn’t going to be a show.

Hi Gina, yea the week was good. Got a lot done. Today is my bday so the last few days were more festive than usual. The weather is perfect, the lawn continues to germinate. Fixed a chip in my car's windshield with an amazing little kit.

How about you?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VISION! I wish I could do the fancy .gif files like Dr. Scarpetta can do. I would send you a pretty cake with candles and champagne! :-)

We’re doing fine here. Had a “lazy” weekend, only worked in our yard a little yesterday. Today we went to see 2016, finally. It was very well-made.

A bit of trivia from the movie that only a few of us out here would catch: near the end of the picture, they show a montage of rabid leftist media mouths berating Dinesh D’Souza’s writings about Obama, and the first one they show is some woman spouting her hateful crap on-mic in a radio studio; in the background on the wall are the station’s call letters: WAMU-FM 88.5.

Thanks for the wishes.

Ha. The 2016 scene doesn’t surprise me at all.

Yes. Johnny Mathis is a fine singer.

This show is lame—Constance and Henry and the silly love quadrangle, or whatever it is.
