The guy said that a womans body can prevent pregnancy when she is raped. That is WRONG! It is moronic! Wrong, it may have been moronic in a political context, but not in in a moral context. The unborn child conceived by rape is not responsible for it's father's crime. I realize that my opinion, actually my belief, is extremely repulsive to most rape victims and many of you on this thread, but the murder of an innocent human being's life is more important than anyone's opinion or revulsion no matter what the rape victim feels or believes. Beside the morality issue, there are many thousands of married and single people who are anxious to adopt an unwanted baby, why murder an innocent baby when that situation would allow him or her to live?

What does your post have to do with Akin's comments? No one is arguing against opposing abortion in the case of rape. The problem is, Akin did not use the innocence of the child in defense of his position, he said that the mother's body will prevent pregnancy under such a circumstance. Not only is his factually incorrect, but what he said is toxic to the pro-life movement. To bad Akin is too ignorant or arrogant to see this.
