But didn’t you know that “You must not study truth...that anything intellectual, including verse and chapter, regardless of how true it is, consists only of second-hand facts—facts which are supposed to awaken the soul, not to teach it. Get that through your thick skull—YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO LEARN VERSE AND CHAPTER. Study kills. It is a very dangerous “informing” indeed...You are not going to fail or go to hell if you don’t study. You are more likely to fail and go to hell if you DO. . . . (The Satan Principle, pp. 38-39)
“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. “ (Luke 24:27)
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. “ (2 Timothy 2:15)
“In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. “ (Daniel 9:2)
<even believers in their formative understandings still sin.<
Listen, the indisputable fact clearly shown you(http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2931985/posts?page=419#419; http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2931985/posts?page=384#384) is that a believer is born again, which occurs at conversion by faith and begins growth toward perfection, and that such as were still sinned, rather than born again being a result of a process of growth in grace. You clearly remain in error.
“Jesus did tell us judge not lest ye be judged..so this is a stipulation in order to be given the gift”
I don’t think you have that quite right. I have seen people be Born Again who were judgemental(resentful) yet were given the gift of Being Born again authentically. It is an unmerited gift.
Afterwards however it is essential to not be judgmental as is so vividly portrayed in the parable of the Unforgiving Servant.
From what I have seen in my life, the average person who calls themself a Christian or Born Again Christian knows nothing at all all about overcoming anger or resentment.
Went to a Bible study a few weeks ago and couldn’t get most of them to agree that hatred is a sin
The level of understanding of most Christians is pretty pathetic, especially about their own religion.
“No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.”
Hello! Are we in the same universe here? This is what he has done for me and others and I am most appreciative! I know him...thank God.
Yes..agreed. The problem is that they learn it like any other type of learning, often the way it is taught in schools to learn. And then it becomes another sin...a horrible one too because the very things taken internally in the right way will save, but in a learned way becomes an obstruction and confusing web.
I will add though, that we do have the power to allow judgments to pass by on that road to salvation and it very much does lay the foundation for being saved. God can do it anyway He wants to of course...
That is not really meriting salvation as it is He that gives us the power to let resentment go through real prayer. So it is really what we don’t do, rather than what we do do....oops, that sounds funny.
>Yes..you should be able to hold a debate from your own insight and understanding free and clear from anything that other people have written<
That is absurd, and while it is sad, resorting to this is consistent with being a disciple of Masters, as you are not even referring to exegetical analysis of Scripture in reliance upon the Holy Spirit to illuminate as needed, but a reliance upon esoteric understanding as supreme, and which disparages study, and even Scripture itself once one has “arrived.”
Yet Scripture abundantly references Scripture as the supreme standard for obedience and testing truth claims, and the very words of the Holy Spirit therein refutes your rejection of helps. (Which is duplicitous as in reality you exalt Masters.)
For rather than needing no teachers in such a case (versus basic truths), although we do not need Gnostic-type know-it-alls such as Masters, the indisputable fact is that “the body is not one member, but many, “ (1 Corinthians 12:12-14) “And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. “ (1 Corinthians 12:21)
And under Christ, “the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. “ (Ephesians 4:16)
Thus the idea of utter independence contradicts Spirit -inspired Scripture (the correct understanding of which also overall requires us to compare and examine other texts), as God has made His body interdependent, and we even needed others to pen Scripture. And thus while i have refuted multitudes of attempted proof texts, and showed by context, conflation and reason that neither John or anyone teaches that believers no longer sin after being born again, when it come to Greek then an expert is fitting, as it is in referencing sources, etc.
However, even exegetical analysis of Scripture is rejected under Masters, and thus you will be left to your own delusions if you will not repent.
Well, the universe that I am in has Jesus Christ as Almighty God in the flesh. Just as was prophesied by Isaiah in Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Also, in Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. (literally God-with-us)
There are others as well. And knowing Jesus Christ - believing and trusting in him - as my Lord and Savior not only assures me of eternal life with him in heaven but the indwelling Holy Spirit (also God) who gives me the power to live for God and yearn for fellowship with Him. Though, even with the new nature and the indwelling Holy Spirit, I am not as perfect as God is. I still stumble, though as I have grown in my faith I have learned self-control and stumble less than I used to. Submission to God's will is an act of will. There is not a magic wand that gets waved over us where we go from being human to being a perfect human - that's not possible here and now. What has changed is two-fold. We have a "standing" with God where we are already seated in the heavenlies with Christ, we are made righteous in Christ through faith and we are children of God, joint-heirs with Christ. We also have a "state" where we go from day to day surrendered to God's will, having a new nature that desires after holiness and to please God because we love Him and are grateful for his mercy and grace. But, we still have our old nature, though we are not a slave to sin because of what Christ has done for us, we have an ongoing battle between the flesh and the spirit, the old nature against the new nature (as I showed you from Romans and Galatians last night). We have an "advocate" - a defender - in Jesus who always makes intercession for us and we can always come to him and confess our sins knowing that he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse of from all unrighteousness. This is how our state, our fellowship, with God is restored.
The closer we grow and the more mature our faith becomes, the more we cease from seeing sin in our lives. A person who is born again (through faith in Christ) has a new spirit nature that recoils from the old way of life, the draw of sin and rebellion is broken and we have the ability through the Holy Spirit to resist the sins that used to so easily beset us. This is why Scripture talks about how to know someone's faith by their works. There will be an outward change if there has been a genuine spiritual change through faith. This sanctification is a growth process as our Heavenly Father is "conforming us to the image of Christ". We are already made righteous - as righteous as Christ - and justified by faith in Christ and we are being sanctified. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone - we don't earn it or merit it. I am extremely grateful for God's grace and I know that I do not deserve His grace or love. But, thank God, he does!

as Rush is to talk radio.
This realization will cause your insular world to either crumble in a heap, or at least start fraying at the edges.
You will then no longer be able to brush away what John has been saying for centuries now...
1 John 1:8(Was John LYING?)
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
Jesus will STILL be there when you want to cling to HIM for your salvation, instead of relying on the idea that had confused you for so long.

Then just WHY did He allow the above verses to be placed into the bible?
Deuteronomy 13:6
If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods”...
Even MASTERS?
