TORONTO - A Toronto woman hopes to curb gun violence by urging women to withhold sex from men who carry guns.

Following the devastating Danzig Street shooting in July, Nicole Osbourne James started the blog, 'Got a gun? You get none!' with the hopes of curbing gun violence.

"Women. Mothers. Lovers. We need to use our own power and have a BAN on SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS with men that have guns. We need to stop HARBOURING and ENABLING our sons with guns. Can we make it happen?" the blog states.

The trouble with a “guycott” like this is that other women will often rub their hands together and say, “Great! More for me!”

And there are a LOT of women, and men for that matter, who find the opposite sex carrying guns to be, well, sexy.

A simple Google Image Search for “women with guns”, gives:

About 136,000,000 results.

“men with guns”:

About 167,000,000 results.

The bottom line, I suppose, is that this guycott will only work with women who are attracted to weak and fragile men, who are too docile to carry guns. And it’s unlikely that they are any good where it counts.

Her statement betrays a fundamental lack of understanding of the dynamics of life in the slums.

In the slums, a woman without a protector is prey.

To qualify as a protector, the man needs the ability and willingness to engage in violence against potential predators of his woman. If he's not getting laid, then he walks away and she becomes prey.
