I propose that there be an amendment to the constitution regarding presidential pardons. Either, 1) Presidential pardons must be ratified by two-thirds of the senate or 2) Any pardon made by a president shall be declared null and void by the supreme court if it is shown that there is not an ‘arms length’ distance between the president and the person pardoned. A president should not be able to shield himself from prosecution by dangling pardons in front of would-be accusers. Comments?
