I’m kind of sad. My best friend Paula’s mom died on Monday afternoon. She was 90 yo. She was kind of the last living link to my parents generation. Paula and i have known each other for 50 years, since we started at St James the Greater elementary school at age 6, in Apollo PA. So her parents were friends with mine, my godmother was a beautician and did her mom’s hair as well as my mom’s etc. Since we will be in LV, i won’t be able to go up for the funeral, and i regret that.
I’m sad for you, too-I’ve found that loosing the links to childhood is a loss like no other.

I just heard that my old friend passed away today too, at the age of 81.
