MANSFIELD, Ohio — Seeking to regain the offense in the presidential campaign, Mitt Romney on Monday said President Obama is to blame for the automatic defense-spending cuts looming at the beginning of next year and that those reductions will devastate communities in Ohio and other key political states.

Defense spending may be able to decrease. But it needs to rationally change its missions then. Stop defending Europe and Japan, for example. It appears what’s coming is a random thinning out.

Excellent politics. And necessary. Romney needs to pound obammie on this one - what holes are opening up? Is that Iran’s cue?

It makes BO look aloof, hands off, uncaring about security.

So will you at last be contented if Romney loses?

Sorry, but Mitt taking time to go this pervs Global Initiative is beyond dumb. It's giving Clinton and the Dems credibility, and making himself look weak. When you factor this in with his supporting provisions of ObamaCare this weekend, you have pandering 101.

And to think I took time to defend this a$$hole and send him donations. What the fu*k was I thinking?

Nation building went out with Dukaka and came back with Bush. It’s time to stop it. Powell says if you break it you must fix it. BS!

If we decide to take an enemy out, it is serious retribution and that is that. We don’t rebuild them.

Look at Iraq. The nation building ideology goes that we will be their friends after we take them out. Then we leave and they become our enemy only stronger on our dime next time. We should very rarely attack - only those who directly attack us or to help an ally who has been directly attacked. When we attack there should be no cell phone service or toilet use from that area for a decade or so.

At least he’s trying to make up for blaming Republicans for the nasty and stupid “Plan B” debt ceiling raising budget deal.

Triangulation only works if there is a right or a left nonsensical extreme being underminded by a Clinton wannabe. Plan B was a mutual suicide and surrender between the communist Barack obammy and the spinless Rinos who were afraid of him...afraid of the uppity Tea Party who would not raise the debt w/o cuts to spending.

RAT math. If you don't get a raise, then it's a cut and Romney's buying into it.

Under the terms of last year’s deal to raise the U.S. debt ceiling, Congress mandated that $500 billion in defense budget growth over the coming decade automatically would be “sequestered” starting on Jan. 2.

The annual increase from 2012-2022 is suppose to as such:

Defense: 1.8%
Non-defense discretionary: 1.6%

Even Ronald Reagan was accused of cutting, when all he proposed was a reduction in growth.

I served 8 years in the military including a year in Vietnam. I could care less what Romney knows or doesn’t know about the military. I do know that he loves this country far more than our Poseur-in-Chief who hates this country and what it stands for.
