That is part of the reason I live as far from the southeast as I can. I just haven’t committed to moving to Alaska...yet.

The blacks down South don't have an attitude than the arrogant bunch I have run into in the Northeast. The area from Chicago through Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC have the most violent, racist, arrogant, black people I have ever seen.

But, I have seen hatred such as that you voiced, against Southerners my whole life, and even believed that I was an ignorant hick myself when I was younger. Now I fight against prejudices like yours against the South whenever I find them.

We’re in the southeast (Tennessee), and we don’t see that behavior and attitude from the blacks in our area.

Re Alaska: I lived there for 20 years, and it is the most “free” place I’ve lived (NY, HI, CA). People there are truly tolerant of others and others’ opinions. It was great.

Consider it. Alaska has many features to recommend it as a place to live.
