In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Fictive
Adjective
fictively - adv. fictiveness - n.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

I think I saw that on twitter. Sad but funny at the same time.
I marvel at the strong feminist who goes into writer’s block for six months based on an acquaintence’s name for her choice of pasta.
And I literally LOL’d at the wooly mammoth line.
Rush has to stop playing the Obama speech, he’s boring me.
OMG, it sounds like WW3 could erupt at any minute. If the American Jews vote for Obama they are just plain too stupid for words. A+++
Yea, I heard that. I got hopping mad when he said how he knew about troops not being welcomed home. Why is that even relevant today? And didn’t HE sell out his country to betray his own fellow soldiers? He did. I actually swore at him and paced back and forth in anger. Forgot most of the rest of his babble. It’s still making me mad when I think about it. /soapbox
A+++ Sarah has more class than that boytoy will ever have. And she is miles classier than the jerk he picked for sure.
I was enjoying Rush just fine....it was taking my mind off my dog. I took her to a new groomer. They said I cannot bring her back. She is too frail and they think she needs to go to her vet to be groomed. She needs sedation so she doesn’t suffer. I wanted to cry. Missy looks pretty good now. Groomer described spells of heavy labored breathing, which I had noticed. I thought it had improved lately. Hadn’t seen it in awhile. Guess not.
oh, that’s FUNNY! D&C. Priceless.
It takes either a lot of nerve or monumental stupidity to ask to be re-elected when he has ruined the economy for years to come...
The democrats’ sideshow is over,
With all of the fictive speeches-
The narcissists have gone home
And bussed their welfare leeches
Back to Chicago, or wheverever
They spread around some cash
In whatever alleys and union halls
They could find political trash
Everyone needs to be smart enough
Not to vote them another spree
Of handing out and spending money
That they took from you and me
The end times are surely imminent when a Cardinal gets booed for praying for ANYONE...
“devalued women”-when I was in college, any man who did that had his character assassinated in print or gossip before the echo of his words had died away. Now, jealous, bitter females do it to the rest of us.
If there could be a good result of the pro abortion, antiu kid festivals being held, it would be that at least liberals are reproducing at a rate much lower than conservatives are...
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. She must get pretty stressed at the groomer. Maybe you could try a mobile one? They cost more but they are in and out in an hour, in your driveway, which is easier on a frail dog.
Using the word fictive...
Which president gave the more fictive speech, B.O. or Clinton?
(On your other post, I agree that Cardinal Dolan's prayer was great. He hit a lot of points in his petitions to God, including calling us "One nation, under God", with our motto, "In God We Trust", his appeal for the Divine protection of our religious liberty in America, etc.)
My heart aches for you. Chan has a heart murmur. She will go the way of loosh eventually I am sure. They suggested a baseline echocardiogram. That is $$$ here, I might consider having it done when we have a trip up to Syracuse at the vet there.
A+++ I think he knows it’s over. Just can’t quite come to grips with it.
Bring her to me, I can do one. ;^)
for free.
She has arthritic legs and couldn’t lift her legs to cut her toenails or groom the bottom of her feet. Had to get her to recline. The labored breathing has been bothering me, but it has let up with the cooler weather. It alarmed the groomer. She had the same fears as me, that Missy might be dying. I asked my husband what the vet had said about the breathing problems and he said “what breathing problems”. I told him everything to say to the vet to give a good report on her and he never even listened. Taking her in myself in another week. I want some answers. How much longer do we have and what other problems might the breathing indicate. I KNOW my husband has seen her breathing like that, he is CLUELESS. Good thing he only drives an ambulance. I even asked him when he got home and told me about the mass in her stomach if that is related to the breathing problems and it went over his head. RME
Excellent poem
Thank you! If it is true that he and his faux Antionette have contingency plans for the Hawaii lifestyle of the rich and semi-famous, that is probably true.
