I was in boot camp in ‘69 and that song sure made us sad. That and “Leavin’ On A Jet Plane”.

Another one I remember from BCT is "Some Day,We'll Be Together" by the Supremes.Guys would play that over and over at the PX.I didn't have a girl at the time so it didn't bother me that much but it sure got to a lot of guys.

In “A” School training there was a jukebox in the chow hall. Every week a new group of recruits would come in and play WHOLE LOTTA’ LOVE on the jukebox every day. I got so sick of that song and still can’t stand it.
