I know people who like the look and have spent several generations breeding out the “fight” from the dogs and yes they make fine pets, with caution.
There are unfortunately people who do not understand what pit bulls where bred for and, think oh if I am nice they will be nice.
What really annoys me is the number of dogs who have been tagged as pit bulls who are not.
When you purchase or rescue a pit bull caution is the key word.
Oh, I completely agree.
What I don’t agree with is that ALL people who own (various degrees of) pit bulls are morons.
You have said so yourself. It is not the dog, it is the person. Right person, no problem. Uninformed, unprepared, immature, wanna-be (anything ‘cool’ inserted here) owners are morons. And someone’s gonna die because of the moron.
One last question, my FRiend, then I’m hitting the sack.
Granted the owner was a moron for letting someone else take six pit bulls for a walk (like that’s the truth..), most morons I know wouldn’t take more than one pit bull out for a walk.
On second thought, I don’t know any morons that would take a pit bull out for a walk. Not ‘in town’, anyway.
