I noticed that mylife has been slacking off a little over the last couple of weeks. :)
Thanks to the advice of my FReeper friends here on the Gun Talk Radio thread, I went ahead and got that slug gun I was looking at.
Will put up some pics here in a moment.
It's a slightly used Rossi Model S121230S single shot 12 gauge with 3" chamber. 23" button rifled barrel with factory porting. Installed a hammer extension, scope base, Weaver quad rings, a cheap 3-9x40 Barksa scope, and a sling. All together I've got less than $275 in the rig.
I've bore sighted it with a laser but haven't had time to get it out to the range yet. I've read a number of stories of guys using this gun and Remington "AccuTip" sabot slugs to consistently bring deer down at more than 200 yards.
It's only September and I've already got buck fever!
