Hi, Doc!
We got 12 to 15 inches of rain at our house, depending on how accurate the rain gauge was with the rain falling horizontally in the spooky high winds! We live just two blocks off the beach (and not near a river) at around 18 feet or so above sea level, so the only flooding is standing water in low areas in our yards and the area. The storm surge was nothing to speak of on our section of the beach. In other areas of the MS Coast, the storm surge did cross the beach highway.
How are you and your husband doing? Are you almost all healed up now?
That is a huge amount of rain!
Yes, M’am! There have been reports that some areas around here got as much as 30 inches!
Thanks, how’s things?
Sure, let me know if you want on the ping list. Stop by and post more.
How's your weekend? I moved 3+ tons of topsoil this weekend for the yard- in 40lb bags in a tiny saturn. But the yard is looking better, hope heavy rains don't screw it up.
Glad all is well with you Gina.
Idiots on the road. I’m certain most of them are Obama supporters—he gets the vast majority of the moron vote, after all.
We can completely relate to how much dirt you moved, Vision. I know exactly how tired you are after doing it!
We’re worn out, too. The backlog of storm cleanup jobs is overwhelming, and we’re sun-kissed and exhausted from a few days of it, with still many more days to go.
Cool, how were the films? You attended the RNC?
