A four-year-old girl was dropped off at a homeless shelter miles from her home by a bus driver on her first day at preschool.
LadyOurlove McInnis was left stranded at Mary's Place in Minneapolis, Minnesota after her address tag came detached from her backpack and the driver failed to check where to leave her.
The girl's mother, LadyAshley Myers, called a school district office to ask why her daughter had not been dropped off on Wednesday - and an official said she did not know where the youngster was.
When a staff member at the homeless shelter, which is the last stop on the bus route, called the district office to report the extra child, officials contacted Myers.
'They told me that they wanted to put her in a taxi cab and send her home,' Myers told KARE11.com. 'I told her, "You're not going to put my four-year-old in a taxi cab!"'
Instead, she went to collect the child from officials and complained that, even though her daughter was screaming out for her mother, they did not initially hand her over.
Myers, who has called for the driver's termination, told the station that while her daughter enjoyed her first day at Bryn Mawr Elementary, she is still traumatised by the incident.

Yes that is their names.

Yes, they have absurd names, but what has that got to do with an irresponsible bus driver?
As a unemployed Lawyer...I'll take that case your honor....I see trauma as far as the eye can see!
Gub’mint schools....
Well, at least one thing was done right in this sordid tale. While it's nice to know that the mother had to verify that she was, indeed, the child's mother before the child was handed over to her--it's terrible that the child was put off the bus at the wrong stop. I can just imagine how frightened the mother was when her baby didn't come home from school!
You should see some of the names the Pilgrims and Roundheads gave to their children.
And to think, if this young girl ever grows up to be a titan of industry, Libs like Obama will credit her success to this bus driver.
I can't fault the officials for verifying that she was the real mother (assuming that was the reason for the delay). A bizarre event like this warrants extra caution.
What is it about the Amish that compel such biblical names?
report an extra child....
so she wasn’t dropped off by herself
“so she wasnt dropped off by herself”
No, apparently the homeless shelter is one of the stops on the school bus’ route. Which probably says volumes in itself.
“Yes that is their names.”
And yet, they’re not the ones who screwed up, are they?
What’s the bus driver’s name, John “I’m a dope” Smith?
“As a unemployed Lawyer...I’ll take that case your honor....I see trauma as far as the eye can see!”
As a law firm bookkeeper, I say GO FOR IT!
It’s for the CHILDREN!
All states require children to be five to enter kindergarten.
Not only that, but the bus driver was being racist.
Especially at a HOMELESS SHELTER.
“You should see some of the names the Pilgrims and Roundheads gave to their children.”
I love those names. What are they called “quality” names? Something like that.
Now, some are silly, like Cotton Mather. Who names their child after a fiber?
But Cotton’s relative (I forget how) Increase Mather, let’s face it, that’s a name!
Some seem ill-fated, like poor Chastity Bono (and maybe other girls named Chastity, at least I hope they stayed girls, even if they did not remain Chaste).
But many are wonderful. Honor is a great name (but you’ve got to have the right surname to go with it), Hope, Faith, Charity, and one of my faves Prudence.
Maybe others can think of more.
I like these names, I hope they’ll come back into style.
