Where can I get verification of this with references? I would like to do a study on what happened to cultures that practiced human sacrifice.

Google Bernal Diaz who wrote “Conquest of New Spain”.

Here’s the google search http://bit.ly/NHTBkd

Here’s the book.

Bernal Diaz was Hernando Cortez’s lieutenant. He was known as the oldest lieutenant. His book was only translated into english in the 1980’s.

There’s lots of references to human sacrifice. However, the book also shows something that was not mentioned in English speaking texts before. The Aztec priests were homosexual. They would “act up” right in front of Cortez and his men.

The Aztecs were just like the Caananites described in the bible who practiced human sacrifice and homosexuality.

It turns out the two practices go together.

I’m not sure what you want verification of. If it is confirmation that the Aztecs practiced human sacrifice on a large scale and engaged in cannibalism, these are rather commonly known facts until the left decided that this bit of history would damage the self-esteem of “indigenous peoples”. The Mexican government today actively tries to suppress discussion of this and is aided by “court” academics.

For references, start with Prescott’s Conquest of Mexico. Nothing much more recent is as honest. Cortez’s letters from Mexico can be found easily and are a primary source. Bernal Diaz de Castillo is another easy to find eye-witness source.

I hope I interpreted your question correctly.
