By the way, what does “Toure” even mean? Is it just a made-up word? “Tour” in French can mean “tower, rook, castle; run, tour, circuit; ride, walk; twist, whirl, turn; stroll, wander; round, rotation; revolution; lathe, tool which is used to cut and shape (wood, metal, etc.)” per one online dictionary.

Sometimes the acute-accented -e acts as a participle (e.g., fiance/ee, one who is affianced, betrothed), but how would that work here? (He who has been) twisted, turned, whirled?

Probably named for some French anarchist by his pretentious, leftist mother. Like Tupac was named for Tupac Amaru, the Peruvian, Marxist, revolutionary group and Jane Fonda’s son was named for a Viet Cong general she admired.
